Ideas and solutions for attic lighting with LEDs
Let's start with a question: why choose LEDs to light up an attic? First of all for a matter of practicality and efficiency.
Choosing led lights for your own attic is a valid solution to save electricity, with a very low level of consumption and consequent reduction of costs in the bill. The attic, as is well known, is often a small room and one of the major problems that were created by traditional light bulbs was to create excessive heat. The LEDs do not create this unexpected since they produce very low heat.
The choice of LEDs is also aesthetic. The great variety of products available today makes it suitable for any style and furnishing requirement. Vintage style bulbs, LED strips, spotlights: there are so many solutions.
Let us now turn to some practical advice concerning the color of light. The warm white is suitable for environments designed for rest as the bedroom, while the cool white can be ideal if the attic is used as a study or office. The living room is instead a room on which both colors are fine, which can even be combined.
Usually, there is a tendency to create a suffused or neutral environment: space therefore for white, light yellow (not lit) and similar tones, able to illuminate but not to be out of context.
Low or high attic lighting: small details
Lighting can vary depending on whether the attic is low or high, allowing it to be transformed into a warm and welcoming environment. Depending on the roof of the attic, low or high, the LED bulbs must be chosen and set in different ways: in the case of a low roof, it is advisable to give space to low power LEDs, perhaps applying more on the roof and wall. The LED strips can be a valid solution: installed on the ceiling, perhaps along the central beam, so as to illuminate with a very modern effect.
How to light an attic with a wooden roof
The LED lighting has such properties that make it possible to enhance the strengths of an attic: if for example, it is an environment in which wood is predominant, the LED bulbs will make it possible to emphasize the grain and naturalness of the wood and to provide creative and functional solutions at the same time.
The LEDs for the attic lend themselves to being applied to different situations and in different ways: they are often installed on wooden beams or on plasterboard walls or ceilings so as to be able to correctly direct their light beam.
Led lighting exposed beams
LED lighting on beams inside an attic can lead to obtain splendid results: the LED lights can, in fact, be installed in different ways and be directional to highlight one or more focal points of the room, the natural grain of the beams or of other wooden components such as parquet flooring or a piece of furniture.
